Champagne
Guy Cadel is a privately owned House in the village of Mardeuil, two kilometres west of Epernay. They produce only 5000 cases per year and use only grapes from their own vineyards, The majority of the production is sold to discerning private clients within France. We are their only export client in the UK. We are delighted to announce that the Carte Blanche has just received the ‘Grand Prix d’Excellence’ Gold Medal awarded by ‘Oenologues de France’ whilst the Grand Reserve took the Bronze Medal at the ‘Challenge International du Vin’ at Vinexpo 1999.

Irish Whiskey
CONNEMARA CASK STRENGTH
Much of the malt used here was originally distilled in August 1991, the Whiskey being vatted in 1996 and returned to cask. Bottled at around 60.2%vol it was launched in October 1996 and is to be found in speciality Whisky outlets.
Tasting notes:
Nose – This is the unique aroma of peated Irish Whiskey as nature intended, When cold, the smokiness is quite lazy, warm in the glass and it starts to lift off into another medicinal direction and positively amplifies when it reaches the nostrils. Wow!
Taste – A big fat and oily start with an enormous peat surge in the middle. The peatiness is toasty and roasty rather than iodiney. It absolutely fills the mouth yet still enables sufficient malt to come through to give some added complexity.
Finish – Very stark. Massive peat clings to every crevice in the mouth and remains sweet and glorious for three, maybe four minutes.
Comments – This is a gentle monster of a Whiskey. When the temperature is right it starts off on the nose with the intensity of an active farmyard and totally dominates the palate, In this beautifully natural undiluted state this is the most extraordinary Whiskey to come out of Ireland in living memory. Top marks for this one, especially in the view of its tender years, For those who can not negotiate Islay Whiskeys, beware!

Finlaggen Islay Single Malt Whisky
The Island of Islay lies in the stormy waters of the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Scotland. Many centuries ago, the Lord of the Isles ruled Scotland from the stronghold of Finlaggen Castle on Islay, but today it is malt Whisky that legends are made of.
There are eight malt distilleries on Islay, all are excellent but with different flavours. To find the true taste of Islay Malt, we have chosen casks from a distillery which we feel best represents the character of the island – rich, smooth and smoky – a choice endorsed by the judges at the International Wine & Spirits Competition who presented Finlaggen Old Reserve with a silver award in 1997.

Next Day Deliveries must be ordered before 12 noon for same day despatch, therefore only available between Monday and Thursday morning. Items ordered Thursday Afternoon or Friday as Next Day will normally arrive on Monday Morning.
During hot spells we would not normally despatch chocolates to sit in a hot warehouse over the weekend so therefore the item will be despatched early Monday morning therefore ensuring the quality of the chocolates upton arrival.
If you wish to take responsibility of the condition of the chocolates and have them despatched regardless then please state when ordering.
